The Importance of a Good Benchtop
A work surface is an important decision to make when setting up a production facility or a workshop. At BAC Systems, we help you to carefully plan your whole workshop layout so that you end up able to work the way you want to work, fitting everything efficiently in the available space. Part of this is helping you to choose the right work surface for your application.
For general purpose applications, BAC offers its Eurobeech benchtop, a beautiful hardwood benchtop made from laminated beech sourced from Austrian forests. This bench is very hard-wearing and can be readily sanded and resealed after a decade or so of use.
For clean workshops and mechanical workshops, BAC offers a stainless steel benchtop. This 42mm benchtop has a sturdy timber core within with a water-proof melamine facing, making it suited for laboratories, mechanics workshops, classrooms and manufacturing facilities.
For a heavy duty application, such as mines or heavy fabrication, the BAC Heavy Duty Steel Benchtop is the choice to consider. Once again containing a timber core, which gives the benchtop unparalleled strength and sound damping ability, this benchtop is laminated with 2.5mm Galvanised steel for many decades of durable service.
For laboratories, classrooms and cleanrooms, BAC also offers a market-leading 25mm thick compact laminate. This robust lab benchtop combines both the cleanliness that laboratories require with the typical strength of a BAC product.
Between them, these four benchtops cover most workshop and laboratory applications and they are further enhanced with optional antistatic mats and nitrile rubber mats, both of which are readily available to help make your benchtop perfect for your particular application.
Of course, a benchtop on its own, no matter how well matched to your task it is, is not of much use without the properly configured workstations supporting it. BAC is well respected for its available award-winning drawer storage cabinets, along with stands, shelves, powerducts and lighting options. Please contact your local BAC Sales Representative to arrange a complimentary site survey where we will help you to configure a workstation to suit your space, the way in which you wish to work, and the tools and parts you need to store.
